What is the current cutoff percentiles for selection through CAT ?
As per the AICTE norm, the selection is being done after calculating the weightage of academics and entrance exam score. Sometimes, academic ratings are given more weightage.
How many rounds does the selection process have and what are they to be specific?
There are 2 rounds in the selection process, namely- Writting Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).

Kickstart your career at IMI-K, where education and extracurricular activities are perfectly balanced. Here’s a little peek at what life is like at IMI-K:
It’s been an amazing experience here so far as a first-year student at IMI Kolkata. The faculty members are extremely helpful and motivational, in addition to being highly skilled and accomplished professionals with extensive academic and industry experiences. Instead of a one-way lecture, they constantly encourage us to participate in an interactive session. We are taught subjects that are critical in today’s environment in the classroom in order to keep current with current industry expectations. In addition, for our advantage, the course plan is changed on a regular basis. Case studies are used to teach us how to apply our theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges.
Despite the fact that all educational institutions are closed due to the current pandemic, we did get a few opportunities to visit the college campus. It’s a stunning campus with excellent infrastructure. It has a well-equipped library, meeting rooms, and an auditorium in addition to classrooms. A badminton court, a volleyball court, and a fully equipped gym are also available on campus, as well as indoor activities such as carrom, table tennis, and a pool table. In both the college and hostel buildings, hygiene and cleanliness are prioritised, especially during these challenging times. Both buildings have central air conditioning and are equipped with modern amenities. As we are not always able to visit the library on campus, it has been made completely available online, with latest eBooks and resources.
As we all know, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy,” therefore we have a plethora of student-led clubs and committees that plan a variety of instructive and entertaining activities throughout the year. Throughout the year, these committees host a variety of events with industry leaders from across the world to keep students up to date on the latest information and thoughts about the current market, as well as new technology or procedures.
This year, the institute was also successful in providing excellent placements. Recruiters from companies such as JSW Steel, Deloitte, Amazon, Genpact, HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank visited campus to make final placement offers. IMI Kolkata Placements 2021 candidates were awarded the highest CTC package of INR 20.7 LPA, while the average package received by the students was INR 8.55 LPA. Aside from the final placements, the SIP selection process went smoothly, with the majority of the offers being made for paid internships.

There are 188 students in the current batch. Expected batch size is 180.

Are the results out for phase one?
I have an inquiry that my Interview for admission in PGDM at IMI Kolkata was scheduled on 30/Jan/2022 but on that day I had another entrance exam of Xavier’s University due to which I was not able to appear for Interview. I also informed about the same through E-mail and phone call and got a reply that we will consider the issue and will reschedule the interview. But, still I did not got any update related to that.

Being a first-year student at IMI-K, it has been a great journey so far. We not only get curriculum-based knowledge from the great faculty but also an ample amount of industry exposure through the several seminars and symposiums held throughout the year, which helps us to grow as an individual in all aspects of life.

Infrastructure:
IMI-Kolkata has an excellent infrastructure. The classrooms, computer labs and libraries are well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. High speed Wi Fi is provided inside the campus. The hostel rooms are fully air conditioned and all the necessary facilities are provided to the students. The IMI-K campus features best in class design. Both the classroom and hostels are spotless and sanitary, with the IT lab offering the most up-to-date software on all platforms. The library is well equipped , giving students remote access to online video conferencing for group discussions, classes, and guest lectures. The library also offers ebooks, periodicals, and cases.
Academics:
The curriculum for the first year is designed to cover all the general management subjects. The second year offers option of specialisation for students who want to go deeper into a subject through electives or dual specialisation. It also allows us to combine major and minor in a single semester to give us more flexibility. Faculty members are approachable, resourceful and they have a well
Placements:
IMI-K conducted the PGDM placement drive in the midst of a pandemic situation. Despite this, 100% of the batch 2019-2021 were placed. The average CTC was INR 8.55 LPA. Consulting and BFSI companies offered the highest salary packages.
Life at IMI-K:
The IMI-Kolkata campus life is very happening. The infrastructure of the college is good. The hostel life is very happening. I have made many friends from different states and countries which has been a great experience so far. The faculty and seniors are helpful and share their field experiences which help us in getting true corporate exposure. It’s a great experience to be a part of IMI-K
