Hi,

What is the average work exp and Gmat score competitive enough to apply ?/

hi guys.. thanks for starting this....

are students (non singapore) allowed to sit for placements in campus. just heard from grapevine that it is not encouraged. also post mba is there any time limit i.e. how much time will a student get to search for a job.

I know above mentioned questions are not very much related to NTU MBA. But your help will really help aspirants like me to at least have a dream

Dear Friends,

I like to know the fit as per the program:

1. How is the placement in oil & gas sector post MBA in Nanyang/Singapore.
2. How are the class representation and placements as per age.

My age is 31 and have 8 + years of experience in Oil company in project management. So wish to know my fit for the program. And opportunities for me post MBA.

regards

@[594150:mic1988] this one is quite a debatable topic. depending on your profile anything above 600 and 2 years makes you a candidate. I am sure my batch mates will add their opinions as well.

thanks for starting up the thread... :)

I have 25 months of experience in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle sector in Sales and Marketing. I am planning to take GMAT in November. What would your advice be on the preparation and general application process for NTU?

@[594150:mic1988]
GMAT score is only on of the many factors which is looked at but usually it gets competitive for indians.
A minimum of 2 years work experience is required. More than the duration it is the quality of work ex and the profile you bring to the class.

Our career development office provides guidance for all the MBA students. Infact majority students are foreigners to singapore.
You can start your job search when you are prepared and have a set goal in mind. Career development helps you through this process. It is important to identify your key focus and network within the industry.

@trim- your experience is relatively shorter than the batch average. I think targeting a good score and applying in round one itself will be a good idea. For that you might also want to start the application process simultaneously with GMAT prep...

Thanks guys for the initiative.

I am Mech. engineer working for Indian auto major for the past 4+ yrs in marketing dept.I want to advance in marketing field and move up the hierarchy wherein comes the need for MBA.I wanted to know what opportunities NBS holds for me as far as marketing is concerned.I am already through with my GMAT(730) last year.

Hello guys...I have been waiting for an official thread to start!!

Please let me know about the kind of opportunities related to IT consulting and O&M; one can expect in Singapore for a NTU MBA. Would language pose any problems post MBA during placement?

regards.

Hi,

May I please know about the Scholarship opportunities available to the Indian students and what is percentage available ?

Thanks in advance
Although placement is highly dependable on individual profile and networking, can any body tellwhat is the scene of placement or getting placed through off campus. Any old batch student should throw light specially on NTU waseda dual degree.is there any chance of returning to india?

@[235623:srijan_141] - There are a host of scholarships available for the Nanyang MBA Program. Most of them are sponsored by associations such as APEC, ASEAN, etc. and restricted to students coming from the member nations of these associations.

Indians are only eligible for the Nanyang MBA scholarship, which generally covers partial to full tuition fee. This scholarship is primarily given on merit considering all aspects of your applications such as the GMAT, undergraduate academic performance, work experience, etc. with some consideration for the financial needs. They are few in number and hence, competitive.

Hope this resolves your query.

Yash
