Hi, I'm a mass comm student from Christ University, Bangalore and I've made the shortlist for MBA-Ad

This is my first crack at an MBA and also my first call ever. :

Any puys in Bangalore who're interested in meeting up for the prep?

Hello all,
I am from Hyderabad. Shortlisted for SIMC Adv course. Well, i haven't received any email yet. Any clue when are emails rolled out usually? The GD/PI schedule as per their website says 1st-10th Feb. Can any seniors or co-applicants help me in understanding what does a home assignment mean? Thanks in advance.
Also, one suggestion guys.. why don't we start roll some topics for GD/PI and discuss among ourselves to see and improve our thought process?

I would sound a bit cynical, but i have some queries, hope seniors can answer.
First, how is the MBA in Adv like, the future prospect.
Secondly, how is the placements like, it is not mentioned in brochure.

Plz answer, as ihave to convince my parents too.

I have a question, I have heard that its a 3 day process(GD/PI etc), so are we suppose to stay at the campus for those 3 days or its like we have to attend it like a few hour session for 3 days in a row. Please enlighten me.

according to the simc prospectus it says last date of fee payment is btw 1st april to 15 april.

Yes last yr the post snap process was a 3 day affair...the gd pi was merged with their college festival goin on parallely..with lot of sessions by esteemed corporate professionals and actors...including farooq sheikh
Candidates had to attend all the sessions on all 3 days since the GD/PI process involved Q's from the sessions.the selection process involved

  1. Home Assignments-which will b uploaded on the website in a week
  2. Personal Interview - faculty and industry guys
  3. Group Discussion - involved a topic used conducted in one of the session
  4. Peer Interview- interview by coll seniors

But this yr if simc follows the same selection process cannot b assured ..since the formula for gd pi list has been changed completely and even for sibm pune the cut offs hav been raised abnormaly....but mostly it wud b on des lines...only the college festival and the sessions may change...but the interviews,GD's and home assignments wud b there for sure

In case of a 3day GD-PI process, we have to be present in the lavale campus from 9am to 9pm on all three days. Last year, buses were available from Senapati Bapat Road campus, and they also took back candidates and parents at 9pm to the same spot. Parents were too welcome. We are supposed to make our own arrangements for accommodation.
I hope this clarifies your doubts !!!

Dear friends I also applied to SIMC and get score of 97.5 but I no receive mail from SIMC. Also I not receveing any email from snap score. I called them but they are not answering to me.
