so.. what do u like the best about ur city? every city has its own charm and a sense of belonging. even though there are problems aplenty like pollution etc there are somethings about our city that we really love. 
i love my city bangalore coz it has the best dosa eatin joints, the weather is nice and cool , there is so much of greenery.. and so many other things.
so wat do u like bout ur city?
I like my city thiruvananthapuram....
it aint big....
there are places where there is real peace and calm...
good beaches at kovalam...
things aint tht expensive here....
i know there aint any shopping malls or any discos over here but this still is a very nice place to live in...
and finally God's own country.district rather..why? during the recent tsunami disaster god saved trivandrum...districts on either side(kollam in kerala and kanyakumari in Tamilnadu) were hit by the massive waves...but trivandrum was spared...so certainly God loves this place...
so tvpm is my city...

Was at the Alliance Francaise today...made me remember why I love B'lore so much... cause despite the crowds, the heat and the insane traffic
, B'lore still has some places where you can sit back, look at the fabulous flora, breathe the cool air and just enjoy the sound of (relative) silence!:satisfie:

all in all its a fabulous place to live in !!!!!:)

Waat say abt the crazy traffic and the lousy roads.......naah.....every major city has its share of problems....and bangalore will outgrow these issues pretty soon.
Bangalore is a great city to live in, I must know cauz I have spent my entire life out here. The people out here are great, the weather on most days is heavenly and there are so many great joints to chill out. And yeah .....as Nisha said the eateries are unbeatable........
i disagree abt b'lore having good eateries(i guess i dont know the place enough but the places i went to were not that gr8 except for kfc)
for food and food alone there is no place to beat hyd.

absolutely clueless ya i do agree with u. bangalore traffic is pretty insane esp during peak hours but there are places where u can enjoy the calm sorroundings and the the fresh air.
andthentherewas1more aww.. cmon there are good places to eat and im not talkin about the kfcs ,mcdonalds and all those places.. they are there everywhere . i was talkin about local dosa joints..no one makes masala dosas like bangalore does just like no one makes biriyani like hyd does 😃

--> u can watch a movie at a decent theatre just for 35 bucs ...
--> The city is well planned and the traffic is far better when compared with that of many other cities (IT cities ).... but the pollution is bad :(

Too much has been said abt bangalore..so let us add some spicy punjabi flavour..Now u see my location is nagpur but naah though i am here since 4 yrs it is not my city---my city is CHANDIGARH---city beautifull...
The importance of this place can be gauged frm the fact that not only is it an imp union territory it is the capital of not just one but two states--haryana n punjab
... talking abt personal perceptions i luv it bcoz it is so organised--being a planned city it is properly designed with sectors n all..The residential ares r quite separate frm bazars--As far as show-rooms n big shoppa complexes r conc it has loads o themm..It has cool spots such as rock garden,,,rose garden...sukhna..blah blah blah...
The roads r superb n the trees along them r real life savers at times..Furthermore despite being atwin capital life is not that hectic and traffic is quite smooth mostly...
Talking abt food (it seems to be a big criterion here--i luv it) man chd has it 4 each n every kind o clientile--the paratha joints arnd PGI N PEC at night time..the chola-kulcha wallahas..the bhutta brigade..golgappa thelas..man o man ..In some places u hav rows n rows of fast food joints ...Be it shake or juice it is available cheap n plenty..
As far as gals go---CHANDIGARH rocks---o soni kuri..oooooooooo

Up side - Great south indian food (esp those mouth-watering crisp vadas n tht typical mysore masala dosa), undoubtedly the finest filter coffee (percolator waali), greenery, comfy climate almost thru-out da yr
Down side - nightmarish roads, footpaths n traffic sense, disproportionate infrastructural growth (vis-a-vis industrial n hence, population growth), a sub-conscious (or conscious?) effort to tarnish da cosmopolitan image B'lore enjoys since decades
Pune:
Extremely safe city. You can roam on streets at any time.
Females do not require escort groups hence depriving many gatecrashers to do day-dreaming:wink:
The weather is fine, except for March-April.
And people quite friendly and ethical.
Ahmedabad...(esp. West)
Safest of them all (u can see girls going home alone after parties even at 12.30, 1 or even later at night), best higher education in Management available , tonnes of education and research institutes around like ISRO, IPR, PRL... Great people, friendly and helpful... Lo costs, less distances to travel, great restauraunts, lovely place, most no. of multiplexes in any city in the world, .... Best in the World I LUV AHMEDABAD.

which is "my" city?? dunno...........belong to delhi, currently working in b'lore. the best thing bout my city (read b'lore) is the job oppurtunities!!! . Otherwise b'lore sux! too much traffic, too congested roads..........double standards the city maintains...............one for s/w engineers and other for aam junta..............
the best thing about my city (now read delhi!!!) is everything ! . My alma mater, my friends my coll......................I miss it all...............Delhi Rullzzzzz

after being in 9 cities (mangalore, delhi,jodhpur,shimla,bhuj,calcutta,manipal,mumbai,bangalore), i feel the best place to live is in gujrat.(damn that earth quake...)
reasons :
1.cool weather(ya its hell hot in summers but overall its the best compared to delhi and all)
2. helpfull public (they have got value for otehrs life.. gujratis r the best person u can live with ..of course they are money minded person but then they have a clear discremination between personnel and profeesional life, and that is their best part)
3. variety of food(u can find atleast 4 dishes during lunch and dinner and they are AWESOME)
4. easy life and they really enjoy life (esp during navratris u can define that place as heaven)
5.safest place in india
6.trustworthy people
7. everythingz cheap there
i really enjoyed my 3 years stay there.. wish if i can get an chance to be there
