PGDM 2013-2015 from Sept 5,2012. The Advertisement would be released on Sept 5 2012 and Sept 7 2012 in TOI.
Detailsof the admissions process would be made available on the portal when we go live.
Qualifying Exams: CAT/XAT/GMAT
Last date for applying: Nov 30, 2012
Results(tentative dates)
Profile Based List: 48 hours before the CAT results
Score Based List: 48 hours after the XAT results
Group Interviews (tentative): Feb 7- Feb 20, 2013
Immersions: Feb end, 2013
Final List (tentative): March 2013

For operations and information management, we do give preference to candidates with prior work-ex. However, we do have freshers gaining admissions into ops and IM based because of a good profile. So yeah, relevant work-ex, though preferable, is not mandatory

No. We are not accepting CMAT score this year.
The Supreme Court in an order in July this year, had extended the stay on the AICTE notification on PGDM autonomy and allowed PGDM institutions to continue with their admissions for academic session 2013-14 through any of the five national tests viz. CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA and CMAT. Also by the time CMAT conducts their second test in Feb 2013 and comes out with the result, our admissions process will almost be over.

It's close to 10 lacs for two years including accomodation for the yr 2012-2014.
So it is bound to increase tis year rite.....My main obstacle is the cost for the course...as i would want to fund my own education..!Are there any scholarships for which we can apply??

We believe that no one should be deprived of education for the lack of funds. We have need based scholarships once you enter into SPJIMR. You will find this point in the adv as well that releases on sept 5, 2012 :). Good Luck

It's very difficult for me to predict whether you would get a call or not without having a look at your "sme hr nd dere"
. Your acads seems to be good. And so is the work-ex. Let the form come out. You might get an idea of what you should fill in the form. Apply nevertheless :)

There is no specific weightage given to any particular section of your profile. We generally look at consistently good academic performance, relevant work-ex(if any), extra co curricular and your test score(again it maybe CAT/XAT/GMAT) to give you call for the group interviews.
Work-ex, again is preferred but is not mandatory. Besides, your average performance in any one of the factors can be compensated by a good performance in other factors.

Like I had said in the prev posts, its very difficult for us to predict the chance of one getting a call unless we have a clear picture of one's extra co curricular. What may be average for you might be good for other and vice versa. Your acads seems to be good though.
A profile based call needs a min of 85%le for its validity. Remember, the profile list comes before the CAT result.
A score based call has some weightage assigned to test scores in addition to your overall profile. So a score based aint based completely on your test scores. We do look at your profile even there.
