Thats gr8 yaar, congrats for the admit. IESE is being raked 1st in one of the ratings and around 77% of their students are international ones. The only trouble with the language and job opportunities in the vicinity,in regards to the later HEC would be a much better bet I think.
Can I know your profile sirjee and as for more info that I would like to know a year down the line when you would have actually gone through the trouble and would be able to actually relate a true picture. do provide a contact on which I can get you a year down the line.
PG sure seems to be headed for a few million in endowment with so many big B-School admits(Wharton, Duke,IESE........)

Going with the statistcis provided,Career Day in IESE is one of the largest kind in Europe.All BIG names throng the campus for recruitment.Furthermore,Consultancy and Finance are the greener pastures for English speaking ppl,however if one wants to go into Marketing then knowledge of one more european language is a must.
In terms of finance, IESE has better placements than HEC and mostly all are either in UK or Middle East.

Please find the answers as below:
1) Tution fee for 2008 session 58,900 Euros.The best part is that everyone who is offered a place at IESE can avail full tution fee in loan without any cosigner needed.Normally, everywhere else one has to have a cosigner to secure a loan.In addition to this,a person will require 12-14 lacs for personal expenses.Please note that in case of scholarships, the tution fee amount is reduced.
2) Avg Work-Experience at IESE is 4 years and perhaps I shall recommend guys to have a work ex of 3 years with a decent GMAT score. For eg, 3 years work ex with 690 score is a good combination.
3) Banking Jobs: All top financial companies throng to campus at career day majorly from UK.

1 Difficulty level of the application form , i.e. the types of essaya and reco letters required.
2 How important is international exposure in our line of work . I have about 3 yrs of work ex , out of which for the last one year i am working in europe.
3 avg. GMAT score of a person in IESE.
4 Which other colleges you applied for in europe.

I too am looking at IESE for the fall 2007 session.
I will be completing three yrs of work ex by july 2007 (by the time i'll be joining). Though the duration of work ex is small for me but in B-School parlance i have some high quality work ex (in fact i have been working in a blue chip company and meddled in a wide variety of Business and strategy related issues).
Though I am an engineer from IT-BHU (topper with a very good GPA), have a lot of real life stories to tell (about co-curricular leadership stuff).
My only problem is my work ex: only 3 yrs by Jul 2007 and a very average GMAT Score i.e. 710 with 5.5 in AWA.
I consistantly scored in 740-760 range in all the standard practice tests. Do u recommend me to go for GMAT again? I think that raising my GMAT score by 30-40 points will not help me much in admission but will it help in getting some merit based schol.?
How do u rate other spanish schools like IE or ESADE in comparision to IESE?
I am not applying to any other european schools like IMD or INSEAD because i do not want to do a one yr course. I am not even applying to LSB bucause of shorter duration of work ex.

Congrats on getting into IESE. Did you already join the school? If yes, how is Barcelona? I have been there and it is a vibrant city. I was also in Palma de Mallorca and it is a great place too! Total party zone!
I have been thinking about applying to IESE for the 2007 admissions. Please answer the following queries:
1. I will have 4 years of IT work ex by the time the course begins in 2007, which includes 1 year in Germany. I speak German too. Moreover I have worked with a Spanish customer, during my stay in Germany. Does this improve my chances of getting an admit? I will be taking my GMAT in September.
2. What are the chances of getting a scholarship at IESE? If I am not getting too personal, did you get any?
3. How strict are they about TOEFL scores? Is there a possibility of waiving off this requirement?
4. I was going through their website and I found that they don't need essays as part of the admission packet. Is the application form detailed enough to collect all the information and hence no essays are required?
