What is the admission criterion for MICA 2015-2017?
The admission process is divided into two stages:
Stage I: The MICAT stage- All candidates who apply to MICA with their scores of CAT2014 / XAT2014 / XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/Sept/Dec) / CMAT2014 (Feb/Sept) / ATMA 2014 (Feb/May/July) / GMAT (2011 onwards), irrespective of their score, will be called for MICAT, subject to their application form being complete and accepted by MICA.
Stage II: The GE/PI stage: On the basis of their performance in the MICAT only, students will be shortlisted to appear for the Group Exercise and Personal Interview stage (held in the MICA campus).
What are the exams that need to be taken to be eligible for MICAT 2015?
In order to be eligible for MICAT 2015, candidates need to appear for at least one of the following exams: CAT2014 / XAT2014 / XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/Sept/Dec) / CMAT2014 (Feb/Sept) / ATMA 2014 (Feb/May/July) / GMAT (2011 onwards).
Will exams like CAT etc. be considered for shortlisting for the GE/PI stage? If yes, then what weightage will be given to the same?
No, these exams DO NOT have any weightage in the shortlisting for the GE/PI stage. Candidates' performance in MICAT 2015 will be the only shortlisting criteria for the GE/PI stage.
How will the shortlisting for the GE/PI be done?
The shortlisting for the GE/PI stage will be done purely on the basis of the candidates' performance in the MICAT only.
Why does a candidate need to take exams like CAT etc. to be eligible to take the MICAT?
The eligibility criterion is as per the AICTE norm (). Under this candidates need to take at least one of the following exams - CAT2014 / XAT2014 / XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/Sept/Dec) / CMAT2014 (Feb/Sept) / ATMA 2014 (Feb/May/July) / GMAT (2011 onwards).
What will MICAT 2015 be like?
MICAT 2015 will have the following sections:
· Verbal Reasoning
· Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
· Psychometric Section
· Logical Reasoning
· Creative Writing
· General Awareness and Current Affairs

When is MICAT 2015 scheduled?The MICAT 2015 date is yet to be finalized; however, it is likely to be held in February/March 2015.
What are the centres for MICAT 2015?
Following are the cities that will have MICAT test centres:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkatta, Lucknow and Mumbai.
Note: MICA reserves the right to withdraw or introduce MICAT centres.
Will there be negative marking in the MICAT?
There may or may not be negative marking in the MICAT. We urge you to read the instructions in the paper carefully before attempting it. Last year there was negative marking in all sections except in the psychometric and creative writing sections.

I took GMAT on July 30, 2010 - can you confirm if this will be valid for my application for the 2014-16 batch please?
Does MICA consider 20% of the CAT score for the calls during GE/PI? In some places its written that MICA doesnt consider the CAT score, its just mandatory to appear for CAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT etc. whereas at other places, its mentioned that MICA considers 20% of the scorecard of CAT/XAT/CMAT etc. What is the fact?

As the online registration is now open, do we have to wait for the scores of CAT 2013/MAT Dec/ XAT 2014 before trying to register OR can it be done without the same (and the score can be updated later)?

Hi Team,
I have gone through some articles from one of the officials of MICA. In that they have clearly mentioned that a certain weightage is given to the CAT score(around 20%) . I would like to know that if i am appearing for two or more exams (CMAT/CAT/XAT). Would i be asked to fill one of the details of any exam or i can fill for all of them ? Which score will you guys pick up from the exams mentioned(CMAT/CAT/XAT)?
