The Admission Notification for Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi for 2013-15 batch is out.

Graduate under (10+2+3) in any discipline with at least 50% marks, from the university of Delhi or any other university recognized as equivalent thereto, with mathematics/ Business mathematics at class 12 level.


Candidates with the following undergraduate degrees will receive extra weightage:
o B. Com. (Hons.),
o B. A. (Hons.) (Economics),
o B. A. (Hons.) (Business Economics),
o BBE,
o BBS and
o Bachelor Finance and Investment Analysis.

The following weightage-system will be followed for short-listing for GD/PI:
CAT Percentile - Weightage – 75%
Marks obtained in Class-X - Weightage – 10%
Marks obtained in Class-XII - Weightage – 10%
Marks obtained in Mathematics/Business Mathematics in Class-XII Examination -Weightage – 2.50%
Candidates with the above mentioned Graduate Degrees - Weightage – 2.50%

The following weightage-system will be followed for short-listing for final selection:
CAT Score - Weightage – 60%
Marks obtained in Class-X - Weightage – 5%
Marks obtained in Class-XII - Weightage – 5%
Marks obtained in Group Discussion - Weightage – 10%
Marks obtained in Personal Interview - Weightage – 20%

Grading system adopted for 10th and 12th marks last year:
95% and above- 10
90% to 95% - 9 and so on.
Less than 50% - 0

Last year's Index Cutoff for general category: 90.38

There are no Pre-decided cut-offs in terms of CAT percentile this year.However, for general category students above 90 percentile in CAT is a safe limit going by the past year trends.

The Department will follow University Norms regarding reservation of seats for SC/ST, OBC, Physically Challenged candidates and Children/ Widows/Wives of the Officers and Men of the Armed Forces including Para-Military Personnel killed/disabled in action at wars. However, Admissions of the candidates to the programmes eligible under reserved categories will be subject to verification of relevant certificates (e.g. caste/medical certificate).

Yes, MFC has only finance as specialization, and it has one of the best curriculum in finance in our country.

Sir is there any upper age limit for placement in finance profile.. as am having a 3+ years of experience in engineering sector so bit apprehensive of the placement..plz if u can share it will help me in taking a decision.

There is nothing like an upper age in finance, in fact many companies prefer people with job experience, so you are safe.

@supro ..as u see till now there is no last date mentioned in the site. Usually the notification period will ends in 1st or 2nd week of dec.

@poorme there is no seperate quota for engg'rs and b.com or any other grads.
No reservation to females.
The conversion ratio will be 3:1 (depends)
No of seats : 47(depends)

can you tell me the ratio of engineers in the present batch considerin, we do not get the extra marks :(

The last date to receive the DD and the Receipt generated by the online admissions module is 15th of December, the online form will be updated to reflect the same.

To add to what has already been said, the last person from general category to get into MFC had scored 94.7%ile.

In present batch, 73% students are from Engineering background.
