Well thanks for the link....i tried other sources and have decided against joining JMI....placements r nt gud,avg package is ok,and very few(and i mean it) take other options than Marketing in the 2nd yr,it is the only job catcher there,finance,opertions and other have to be well thgt upon before opting......toodles...:)

gr8 decision. u just saved money, time and frustration in future together. look for better schools this/next year.

Dear All,
the situation has improved a lot now... with a fees of only rs. 20,000 for 2 years, an MBA degree from a central university, and packages going upto 5.6 to 6 lacs, Centre for Management Studies @ Jamia Millia Islamia is not a bad option any more..
Nearly all my seniors have been placed.. 😃

hi guys/girls...
i am 2nd sem student of jamia millia its a v gud option to b kept in hand wth a minimal fees of only 20000 appx and u get a tag of central university on ur degree which is great... and u get a proper MBA degree not tht of PGDBM/PGBM though the course is only 7 years old bt it is gaining pace in all respect and the faculty we have is one of the best anywhere... it has its own entrance exam which i thnk is very tough to crack in year 2009 around 7000 people gave the entrance n amongst thm only 60 were choosen so u can judge how tough it is to b in jamia... n soon centre for management studies is going to become faculty of management studies which will add up extra value to it... forms will be out arnd april n entrance will b in may so start preparing 4 it...

for entrance u can prepare through various books available in the market specially for jamia's ent u can go n chk out the syllabus on the site its divided into 4 sections :
1. verbal ability, critical reasoning, rc.
2. Quants : fns, algebra, cordinate geo, inequalties, time, speed distance, ratios and proportions, sets, p&l;, simple and compound interest, central tendency, dispersion, prob and elementary stats.
3. Data analysis and sufficiency.

placement act is going on r8 nw n is on the move. n i dnt have ny such mat for ent bt do a lot of mock tests n all the best prepare well.

@seniors: throw some light on avg.package,highest package,lowest package.saw the clg website they have mentioned only the company that came for placements not the pkg.

as due to recession there is no such fixed pkg bt it will be definately well in coming times... bt last year the highest was abt 9 lakhs by some advertising agency...

bro recession was/is for evry college ...evryone is facng tht same issue ...so can u say in clear terms ..
