Starting a new thread, as I could not find a separate thread for Full time MBA -Queen's School of Business, Canada for 2014 batch.
I'm the existing student in the FT MBA 2013 batch, and i'm here to help aspiring MBAains to get some information about the college and to help them prepare for the interviews and other processes.
The next session will start in May 2014 and the application process will begin soon and it is advised to apply early to be eligible for good scholarships.

Its nice to see a thread for Queen and that too from a current student. I like to apply for 2013. My main concern is placements with respect to my profile and placements in general for international students. Also, I like to know how much weightage the companies give to Queen with respect to Ivey and Rotman. I am mentioning my profile. Kindly share your inputs for this 12 month MBA program with insights of advantages and disadvantages which are not mentioned at the site.

i'm also a current FT student of Queen's and with Vaibhav's permission, I would like to answer your question.
FIrst, I'm not a big fan of profile evaluations because all I see are some numbers. It's tough to judge a person based on what he/she writes on a paper unless I know the life story.
About Ivey, Rotman and Queen's..well it's a classic dilemma! TO each, his own. Each college is unique just like each individual.So, its tough to rank them in an order. My suggestion is to look for a good fit to your expectations.

Good to see Queens 2013 thread. I contacted Adcom sometimes back for the application start date.
I was informed "We will be releasing our new website and application for the next class which begins in May 2013 on July 1, 2012"

-I am out of my academics for last 8 years. Regarding recos, do I need to give a academic reco or all three professional recos?
- Completed my schooling and degree in english and working with teams overseas last 8 years (no long term onsite though). How shall I send the request for TOEFL waiver... along with my app? or before applying?

With 8 years of experience, I see that it is better to have professional recos. Unless you have something substantial to show from your undergrad.
There should be an option in the application to request for waiver. Else, you can send a mail to the adcom quoting your application number.
That sounds reasonable, I am going for 3 prof recos.
Btw 2 essays seem to be the same as last year's. Only one is new.
What I meant by same is the question no. 1 and 3 last year.....
Those looked same at the first read.
