I searched high and low for a thread where I could post queries regarding how to fund your MBA. Loans are of course one main way which majority use to fund their MBA.
But then there is also this option of scholarships from various sources like some companies, government, instituitions, individuals etc which one can avail of based on some criteria like merit, religion, community, a scholarship test, location, annual family income, work experience, academic achievements etc to fund one's MBA.
The purpose of this thread is to share and discuss such scholarships which will prove helpful to others also.

P.S: My whole intention of starting this thread was because, when joining for MBA and now to apply for an exchange program, on both occassions, I could not find any relevant scholarships I could apply to, for which I'm probably eligible based on some criteria.

I have seen scholarship tests at engg level but not at the managment level , m sure internal scholarships by institutes are there , in IMI we have around 50k scholarship , for each term topper or top 3 , but external scholarships havent heard off but desperately needed one , consequently have a hefty loan to pay off now 😃

I wanted to complete the article by posting other interesting options for financing our MBA.
In Germany, several business schools like WHU (Universitt Studium BWL und Management fr Bachelor und Master whu.edu) have an education fund that offer loans for the tuition fee in exchange of income dependent payments in the future, this is an interesting option as u don't have to pay anything if you're not earning money.
Also a friend of mine just recently crowdfunded his tuition fee by creating a campaign at Funding4Learning (Funding 4 Learning. Working together to educate the world), a new crowdfunding platform for study projects. This is also an interesting alternative if you have friends willing to contribute to your education.

Scholarship Schemes by the State Government: These scholarships are given by the State Governments and are exclusively for the students of State Universities and State Government schools. For time to time, the authority who is in charge issues the notification regarding to the scholarships. The fund for these scholarships is given by the State Government. The student who is in search and is eligible for these scholarships can have the notification online or through the offline mode.Scholarship by AICTE: There is much educational authority also who is responsible for providing many scholarships. One of those authorities is the All India Council for Technical Education. This is an advisory body who provides various forms of Scholarships some of them are National e Scholarship, Vidya Lakshmi Scholarship, Pragati and Saksham and other forms of Scholarship to the candidates who need them.Scholarships by the UGC: UGC or University grant Commission is a department who is responsible for providing scholarship programs at the university level for the candidates who are belonging to the financial weak background. There is a condition on having and applying for these scholarships that it is important to have a good academic record to apply for these scholarships offered by UGC.Scholarships Offered By the Private Universities: There are many scholarships which are provided by the Private Universities. Although the amount for these scholarships. These educational institutions also provide the benefit of the Scholarships in India for the candidates who are applying for there respective various Degree and the Research courses. The notification for these scholarships are released time to time but candidates who want to apply for these scholarship needs to be touch with the notification released by the department’s administration section.Scholarships by the Trusts: There is various trust who supports the educational institutions it can be religious or controls by the boards developed by the group of people. The Scholarship under these are usually sponsored by the established Trust funds and they have the separate procedure to apply for it. These Scholarships are usually provided to the student who sponsors School education.Scholarships Offered by the Private Educational Institutions: There are various coaching institutions all over the country who provides education or coaching classes to the student of the respective course. Onc the student enrol in these institutions they can have the benefit of scholarship but it is to the selected sections of the society who are of the lower class and whose annual income is very less. The procedure for some of these institutions is that they conduct the examination in which student who wants the scholarship can give the exam. And after that, the candidates are scrutinised by the institutes according to the marks they get and merit list are made and after that, the scholarships are offered to them.
