akshay1406 Says@shouryasen :: What is the pre-induction program?
@shourya, the selection is like '180 selected + 100's waitlist' or are there any buffer calls with those selected 180.. b'cause few institutes follow the method of giving buffer calls..an 'm rejected..:banghead: so asking this ques..

Well, to begin my post i say i am dejected firstly at being rejected and secondly at SIBM pune.
I see a lot of ambiguities in the process followed by them.
Firstly the institutes follow different procedures for admission.Now as i expect majority of the people selected for SIBM pune who have appeared for SCMHRD will appear in that list also (list expected by 25th). Thus people will be overlapped.Why not have a combined result announcement process.
Secondly the declaration of the result.Why is the consolidated list not given out to the students.What is refraining you from publishing everyone's scores in the individual area's. I tried but coudnt think of a valid reason.It is nothing but will bring in a lot more transparency into the system.
Thirdly the retention of the 30K. There is a rule which says the institute should not keep more than 1K after withdrawal of admission.Why is this workaround for the supposedly "Online Educational Material". If it has cost so much that it cost 30K for every copy generated.
Lastly please don't consider this as a post of someone who has been rejected.Just look it in the wider sense.I guess the questions hold true for people irrespective whether they have converted or wait-listed or rejected.
Replies, Groans and suggestions accepted.
Thanks

I made it to the final list of SIBM Pune. I would like to thank all the seniors for being so cooperative throughout the entire process. I can't wait to set my stride into the hallowed portals of SIBM-Pune.
Special Thanks to seniors here @PG Shourya Sen, satana and my GC Nikhil Chitlangia and seniors I met @CWS-Bglr Pratap.

My first covert!!!!
Thanks a lot all the seniors... especially Shourya and satana!!!!
regarding the pre induction course ware , I understand that 30 k may appear steep, but the courseware is designed by SIBM -P and it is its intellectual property.Had it been simple books published by other publications that the college would have provided the question would have been valid.Those who will not join SIBM ,I would suggest , read the material well.It ill help u immensely where ever you go.
Firstly, don't question the selection criteria of an institute, I think the institute knows best what they are looking for. The fact that they do not come out with common admission list for different colleges is because each institute within the university is a separate entity and thus following separate admission procedures. Look at it this way, how can they come up with the common list when many of the applicants would not have even applied to many colleges and maybe applied to only SIBM-P. If they wanted a combined list, we would have gone through just one GD/PI process which is not the case.
I don't think many institutes display the actual marks scored by a candidate in various components of the process, still RTI is always an option I think.
I agree to your point regarding the 30K for pre-induction fee which is uncalled for. I don't think the material costs anywhere close to that and most of the things will be done online as stated by Shourya. Even I don't like this pre-induction process, looks more like a commercial move.
Thanks
