any probable date as to when the GD/PI will be held...

and can anybody say if the venue mit be in bangalore or not???

No offence...But Is BIM fully baised towards south...!!
Because
First of all they are having two GD/PI centers in the same state..where as students from all over India has applied for the college.
2ndly they haven't declared the exact venue and time yet.... There is absolutely no chance of getting a train ticket reservation now even if the date becomes April 15 or so....exept hoping for the uncertain tatkal reservation.. also not everyone can afford airplane fares....

3rdly why didnt they mention this clearly in the application notice that the GD/PI centers will only be in south India that to only in TN..
This implies they dont at all think about non South students..

If this's the condition before the admission, then what next if any of the non south students get in to BIM....
I think only due to these reasons non south students dont usually opt for this college , even if it's a good one...
This's not the attitude of a national level institute, bt that of merely regional one...
Please Just think a while being in our position.....
@nd please give me my DATE & VANUE as soon as possible....
If you people can do anything for us we will be grateful....

I would like to point out tat even NITIE conducts its GD only at its own campus in Mumbai and gives notice of only 2 weeks or so. This is just a convenience of the institute and doesnot indicate any bias of any sort. IMT ghaziabad also does the same thing i guess. I don think u should be jumping to conclusions based on this trivial fact.


And there are plenty of students from parts of North India who are here currently and getting along very well with people of other regions. Please refrain from blowing up a simple logistics issue and making ur own conclusions.

the institute has already mentioned that only if there is a need: only if there are many students , they will think of having other places as centers. and by no means is BIM biased towards south.yes ,we accept that there are lot of practical difficulties like getting train tickets etc..that is a common problem which every B-school aspirant faces. but an institution cannot cater to the interests of every prospective candidate.students who consider MBA important and BIM important dont mind coming to chennai for gd-pi process.
for your kind information there are many north indians studying here and all of them have great regards for this institution.and all these students had come to chennai for gd-pi because they preferred BIM to other institutes.
without having knowledge about the institute or its repute please don comment about its attitude of being biased or regional.
institution is not answerable to impatience of few students.

let me assure you that there is no bias against ne north indian student at BIM..everyone is equal here...n i can tell u thiis coz m from west bengal n till date i havent faced ne such issue...
as for tiickets its definitely an inconvenience but even if you were informed 3 to 4 weeks ahead you would not hav got the tickets...even v book the tickets in tatkal for every trimester end....
and as nithila mentioned before probably not enuf candidates have applied from your city for the GD/PI to b scheduled in your city...
i hope i have cleared some of ur doubts..

hey guyz read the previous posts...it seems gdpi will only be in trichy or chenn...bt as far i remember there was a choice of bangalore as a centre for gdpi..m nt totally sure...do correct me...can bangalore be a choice of centre???is it possible coz last yr thy had bangalore as a centre...do reply..and moreover does the gdpi happen on weekdays or weekends of bim???plz do reply...thankx...

Hey Puys!
i don't have any info regarding the reservations.
There are 2 separate categories: TN BC and TN MBC..
See you all during the GD and PI.
Waiting for the dates.

And regarding the whole issue of not having any other centres than chennai or trichy i think people should use their common sense and realise that having different centres involves a lot of work.
Firstly they have to bring the professors and a set of students to arrange the GD and PI. also the place and everything.
Relatively the %age of students applying from trichy,chennai and neighboring states would be higher than compared to students from rest of the india.
So, it is better for the college to have limitd centers!

Guys! let loose and stop making this such a big issue. If you really want to attend the GD i guess a way can be found out.

Ok.. It's fine... I dont want to discuss about these things, neither I want to show my leadership quality before MBA...
Anyway they can give our GD/PI schedule immediately, so that we can plan our journey at least on a higher place on the railway waiting list & other things...
