According to the latest update, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is unlikely to release the examination date for the NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) recruitment 2019. Earlier the examination schedule and the admit card was expected to be released online through the regional websites of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in the last week of October 2019.
The process is delayed as the Indian Railways is looking for a new agency to organize its recruitment examinations. A senior railway official mentioned that the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had organized a committee to appoint public and private stakeholders to operate as the Examination Conducting Agency (ECA) for all the recruitment tests conducted for the Indian Railways.
The official said ‘’the committee is yet to decide the basic eligibility and other terms to quote the tender. After reviewing all the received applications, the committee will shortlist and select an agency. The whole process might take a month.’’ As every railway recruitment receives several applications, the committee is taking all the required precautions to avoid any errors or discrepancies, he added.
The Railway Recruitment Board expects the Examination Conducting Agency (ECA) to have the efficiency in hosting the examination for more than one lakh candidates in a single shift across the country. The roles of the ECA would include planning, mobilization of the required resources, storage, processing, and handling of the data. The ECA should use trusted and certified software to conduct the recruitment examinations for all the railway recruitments.

This decision of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) being taken after the recent alleged question paper leak of the Junior Engineer Stage II CBT (computer-based test) in the month of August 2019 has raised several questions among the central government job aspirants in the nation. The issue about the Junior Engineer Stage II CBT has gone viral on social media, and two individuals have been arrested from Mumbai. Official website for Railway Recruitment Board rrbcdg.gov.in.
However, the Indian Railways have denied the allegations of the question paper leak and said that the hiring of a new examination conducting agency as a standard procedure as the term of the older agencies has ended. This indicates that any further updates about the RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) recruitment 2019 can be expected only after the committee finalizes the new Examination Conducting Agency (ECA).
