The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will upload the scanned images of OMR answer sheets of candidates and the respective set answer keys of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017, on their website tomorrow, on April 18. The answer keys and OMR sheet that will be made available is of paper I of JEE Main held on April 2, 2017. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the recorded responses if they differ from the ones that they had marked on the OMR sheet while answering in the examination hall.
Candidates willing to challenge OMR responses can do the same through the JEE website until April 22. Only online challenges will be accepted from candidates. For each recorded response challenge, candidates need to pay a fee of Rs 1,000, payable through credit/debit card, Paytm and SBI Buddy before April 22. Quite like the DRS (Decision Review System) in Test Cricket, the fee will be refunded if the challenge is successful. Candidates not challenging in the stipulated period will not get any further chance to claim their OMR sheets to be reviewed.
Along with the OMR responses, candidates can challenge any particular answer in the answer key provided on the website as well. They need to follow the same process as OMR responses for this and if the challenge gets successful, it will be notified on the website.
For candidates who took the online JEE Main examination on 8 and 9 April, the questions and marked response have already been sent to their registered email ids. Theses candidates cannot challenge responses but can challenge answer keys following the same process mentioned above.
