IPMAT 2025 Exam Information

IPMAT, or the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test, is a national-level aptitude test administered by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for their five-year Integrated Program in Management. IPMAT Rohtak refers to the exam for admission into IIM Rohtak, while IPMAT Indore is the exam for admission into IIM Indore. At present, three colleges, namely, the respective Indian Institute of Management (IIM Indore or IIM Rohtak), the Institute of Management, Nirma University and TAPMI accept IPMAT scores.

IPMAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to appear for the IPMAT Exam, candidates must meet the requirements set by the conducting body, which include:

  • Age Limit: Candidates wishing to apply for the exam must be aware of the age limit requirements. Students in the General category who are above 20 years of age as of July 31, 2025, are not eligible to appear for the IPMAT 2025 exam. For candidates in the SC/ST/OBC categories, the age limit is 22 years as of July 31, 2025.
  • Exam Qualification: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent level examination in 2023/2024, or they must appear in 2025.
  • Marks Qualification: General candidates need at least 60% marks in class 10/SSC standard and 12/HSC, while SC/ST/PwD candidates need a minimum of 55% marks with a relaxation of 5%.
  • Marks Calculation: The percentage of marks in both 10 and 10+2 levels will be based on all subjects mentioned in the mark sheet.
  • Foreign Candidates: Candidates who have completed their 10 or 10+2 level from international boards such as IGCSE are also eligible to apply.
  • Other Criteria: IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility of candidates using parameters such as equivalence, percentage marks, recognition of the qualifying examination, intake, and more.

Note that candidates who are likely to complete their 10+2 level or equivalent by July 31, 2025, can also apply provided they fulfill the above eligibility criteria.

IPMAT Reservation Policy

The reservation policy for IPMAT adheres to the guidelines set by the Government of India, which mandates a percentage of seats to be reserved for different categories. These categories include 27% seats for candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer of Other Backward Classes (NC-OBC), 15% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), up to 10% for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs), and 5% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD)

  2. Deaf and hard of hearing
  3. Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy,
  4. Autism, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability And Mental Illness,
  5. Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (1) to (4), and
  6. Other ‘specified disabilities’ mentioned in ‘The Schedule’ of the RPwD Act 2016.

IPMAT 2025 Application Form

The IPMAT 2025 Application Form can be accessed through the provided direct links once it is made available. To complete the application form, applicants are required to provide a valid mobile number, email address, scanned copy of their photo and signature, and pay the application fee through a credit or debit card.

The IPMAT Exam Fee for General and NC-OBC candidates is INR 4130, and for SC/ST/PwD candidates, it is INR 2065. It should be noted that the application fee is nonrefundable and nontransferable, and reserved candidates must provide supporting documents to claim the reduced fee.

Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website of IIM Indore (iimidr.ac.in) or IIM Rohtak (iimrohtak.ac.in) and clicking on the “Register for IPMAT 2025” button. After registering using their phone and email, the login credentials will be mailed and texted to the candidates for future communication.

The application form requires candidates to enter their personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality, parents’ names, contact details, email ID, communication address, Aadhaar card number, state, city/town/village, year of passing, and qualifying exam. They also need to upload the necessary documents, including scanned copies of their photo, signature, address proof, and qualifying exam certificate.

Applicants can pay the IPMAT application fees online using a credit or debit card or net banking. Once the form is complete, they can submit it and take a printout for future reference.

IPMAT 2025 Admit Card

After submitting the application form, candidates can download the IPMAT 2025 Admit Card using the login credentials provided during registration. On the day of the exam, candidates must carry a valid government-issued ID document along with the admit card.

The IPMAT Admit Card will contain important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, application number, photograph and signature, exam center address, date of the examination, signature of the candidate, and exam day instructions.

To download the IPMAT Admit Card, candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Go to the official website of IIM Indore (iimidr.ac.in) or IIM Rohtak (iimrohtak.ac.in)
  2. Click on the ‘Admit Card’ button (will be live once released)
  3. Enter your login credentials (application number/user ID and password) and click on the login button.
  4. The IPMAT 2025 admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Download and print the admit card.

In case of any errors in the admit card, candidates should immediately contact the relevant authorities to resolve the issue. Candidates should arrive at the test center at least an hour before the exam and follow all instructions mentioned on the IPMAT Admit Card 2025.

IPMAT 2025 Syllabus & Pattern

The pattern of the 2021 IPMAT exam is anticipated to be followed for IPMAT 2025, which will be conducted in online mode. The 2021 exam was a 45-minute CBT (Computer Based Test) with a total of 240 marks, including objective and short answer type questions. Only MCQ questions have a negative marking of 0.25 marks. Each correct answer receives +4 marks. The paper consists of three sections.

IPMAT 2025 Result

IPMAT 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for IPMAT 2025 will be based on the performance of candidates in the Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Assessment (PA) sections. The Personal Assessment section may involve a Personal Interview (PI) or Video Based Assessment (VBA), and will be the same for all candidates. Candidates who do not appear for either the AT or PA will be disqualified.

The IPMAT selection procedure comprises several stages:

  1. Application Form Submission: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria must submit their Application Form. Candidates submitting multiple forms with minor changes will not be accepted.

  2. Aptitude Test: Eligible candidates will be called for the Aptitude Test, which will be held in 34 test centres. Eligibility is based on the submitted application form.

  3. Candidate Selection: Candidates who have a positive raw score and minimum marks in all three sections of the paper will be eligible for Personal Assessment. The cutoff for this stage will depend on the category of the candidate. Candidates who have not been selected will receive a regret letter.

  4. PA Shortlist: A Personal Assessment Shortlist will be created from the candidates selected in stage 3 from all categories, using the merit list generated from ATS score. Shortlisted candidates will now appear for Personal Assessment. A consistent and minimum performance is expected in all parameters of the PA, as decided by the admission committee.

  5. Final Selection: Candidates who meet the minimum parameters in the previous stage will be considered for final selection. A merit list for each category will be generated based on the composite score (CS) as mentioned in the table below:
