The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), has announced that the examination for the Chartered Accountant will be conducted on November 9, 2019 on Saturday.
The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India has announced on November 8, 2019 that the Chartered Accountant exam has been postponed. The decision was taking because of the Supreme Court of India has announced that the Ayodhya verdict will be announced on November 9, 2019 at 10:30 am.
Owing to the sensitivity of the Ayodhya Verdict most part of the country to has ordered to keep the colleges and schools shut down. And because of that decision the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India has taken the decision to postpone the Chartered Accountant examination to a later date.
The date of the examination has not been fixed as of now. Once the date is fixed, the new date will be announced in the official website of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India, www.icai.org.
The exams which are scheduled to be postponed are as follows:
- Foundation paper 1
- Final Paper 5
- Information risk management paper 1
- Post Graduate Diploma in International Taxation
- Information System Audit Eligibility Test.
Every year the institute of Chartered Accountant of India will conduct the examinations on the month of November. The foundation examination will be held for a total of 400 marks. There will be 4 papers and each paper will be for 100 marks each.
The syllabus of the foundation examination is:
- Principles and practice of accounting
- Business law
- Business correspondence and reporting
- Business mathematics
- Logical reasoning
- Statistics
- Business economics
- Business and commercial knowledge
The candidates have to get a cut off of 50% in each paper to be considered as qualified.
