Even me looking for the same, their website doesn't give a statistical description but a theoretical one. This would be imp for me as I would be filling PUMBA after JB in my options form.

Hi,
Last year's cut off (first round) was 153 for open category and 145 for others. But the cut off went further down by 5 till the last round.

Placement Stats will be provided to you soon. As you know, PUMBA is a student driven organisation. Currently, we all have been very busy with the Annual Events Dhruv, Nostalgia and NATSEM. Our placements are handled by the Placement and Corporate Relations Cell. I'll try and get the figures asap...
Hi,
Last year's cut off (first round) was 153 for open category and 145 for others. But the cut off went further down by 5 till the last round.
All cut offs are always from the total of 240 (200 written+40 gd/pi). Usually, with a decent level of performance at the CET gd/pi round, one can get a score of 25-28 out of 34 (6 marks are allotted for graduation, HSC-SSC marks and work ex). So assuming this score, you should be aiming for a score of around 125 -130 to be sure to get in PUMBA.
dude wat r cons or disadvantages of PUMBA? i was really looking forward to dis college!!!
now i have serious doubts over this institution

@al_coholic............
There is no college which has all pros and no cons.It doesn't matter if a college has disadvantages, people still take admission into it.
With PUMBA there are a lot of disadvantages and some advantages. Here people are reluctant towards studying and only want to gain marks and that too this kind of attitude is developed by teachers only in students. No practical approach towards studying. They come to the class and teach everything which people here can't understand, they have a notion in their mind that all of students know something of every subject but this is not the case.
Take an example of MIS,management information systems,a subject in Trimester 2,the teacher comes to the class and tells us to read everything from the book which is not possible at all.People from computer background know many things but ahat about those who haven't even heard of computers ever in their life. What about them but he doesn't considers this at all.
So this is the kind of attitude which some teachers follow but not all.The visiting faculty is good and teaches well.
About the placements this year every college is facing the problem because of slowdown so PUMBA is not leftout.
I am not in favour of PUMBA as such but here the seniors are very helpful and being a student driven organisation,we have to do all the things.
PUMBA needs a practical approach in all the things. There should be a change in faculty and staff.Even our HOD should be changed, the guy who even doesn't know how to write his own speech, how can he be made HOD of a management department?
Well for know you must have understood whether to take admission here or not.
If there are more queries, please post it.I will try to answer them.

you dont need to hide ur nick, trust me no one in PUMBA is gonna be after u for whatever u post here.
1] An institute is not made up of only 4 walls, it is made up of the students who study there and who passout from there. It is known by the students who are studying there currently. You are PUMBA, and you make it, what it is today.
two years back, it was awesome, we had made it so. Your seniors had taken it a step ahead. dunno what you guys are doing there. I have been too busy settling in my job and hence havent been able to visit you guys.
2] An essential part of management is co-ordination amongst ur members and team spirit. Why do you have people from all walks of life (engineer, doctor, BA, BCOM, BSC) getting into MBA?? Everyone brings with him, his expertise and his way of thinking. The only reason y you guys are not taught how to switch on a computer is beacuse, if you don't know how to switch on a comp, then it's time you learnt how to ask, to your peers. I remember BCOM, MCOM guys taking extra lectures to teach their friends who are weak in accounts, likewise with enggs teaching transportation and interpolation. If yu dont learn how to ask now, you never will.
The guy who doesnt know how to write his speech, is a PhD, he knows how to deal with the univ and get grants from the univ, he know how to run the college, he knows how to handle the staff, and a lot many more things that you and me may probably take years to learn.. u judge him just coz he can't write his speech!!!!!!!
friend, these are the two best years of your life, its how you use what you have, that will determine where you will go and trust me, PUMBA has enough to let you go places, only if you have the fire in you. How do I know??? I have been ther and I think, I am quite comfortable placed right now.

Hi Guys,
Good news for those who are aspiring for admission to PUMBA, Sinhgad in the last IVth Round
Following is the cutoff for PUMBA for 2008
1st Round - OHU - 173
1st Round - HU - 150
1st Round - All India - 175
2nd Round - OHU -161
2nd Round - HU - 150
3rd Round - 159
4th Round - 150 (appro). One of my friend got at 150
4th Round (CAP - IV) is applicable to only those candidates who don't seek admissions in the first 3 rounds (i.e. CAP - I, II, II).
So, waiting till the last round can fetch a seat at 150 - PUMBA, a short of 23 marks, especially for OHU candidates - Mumbaikars
You can refer the DTE Link for more detailed analysis - Download section

Also, this time there is an appreciation of 55% in the no. of students appearing for MH-CET 2009, as per DNA Mumbai Daily i.e around 1.02 lakhs
Link : DNA E-Paper - Daily News & Analysis -Mumbai,Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, India
Title : JBIMS students can help you crack CET
The ratio of no. of students to the seats in JBIMS (i.e. 120 seats) is 1:850
It's in Page No 5
Puys,
I believe people reading this post are the students who are willing to take their careers one step ahead. You all are graduates now and entering into a professional arena. If you think that MBA is all about a faculty coming to the class and spoon feeding you- please reconsider your decision to do MBA.
I am a first year student at PUMBA, like Mr. Non_conformist. And I have my complete sympathy with him coz that was what I'd felt for the first week in college. But fortunately I realised that I'm not into graduation anymore and things ought to be different in MBA colleges. If you're so used to spoon feeding, wonder what kinda decisions you're gonna take in the future for the organization where you work.
let's come to the faculty part of it, coz its no doubt the most important part of any college. We have experts from the industry in every sector. You name it and we have them here.
Coming to the in house faculty, ( and being the systems guy ) especially AJ, he's one of the most innovative teacher I've seen. I'm stressing on this point as I'm a computer engg and know what he's asking the students to do is very important. Students crib about reading the books he asks them to, and then retort back that he doesn't teach. If you don't want the hard way then God bless you in your days ahead. I'm just a B grader ( coz I don't really study execept a day befr the xams ) but the fact is, pull me into any conversation related to any topic, academic or otherwise, I can share my knowledge. Thats because I've done what my teachers at PUMBA have aksed me to do. Read, solve case studies, discuss with friends and the faculty on any topic. And its not just me, we have a huge group which interacts regularly sharing our knowledge and building on the same.
As for your Wi-Fi connectivity, its taking time because of an underlying Univeristy project which encompasses it. But still, if you want internet access( for studying purposes and not spending time on you tube), its available in the computer lab. You're free to use it mate.
Somebody use the library please. It has a huge collection of books. There are only a handful of guys sitting there in the evening. And these are the ones who top in colg. I'l use AJ's quotes again " Read, read and read- you've no alternative"
My classmates are working at Citi Bank for their project work and performing better than their counter parts from top colleges in Mumbai.
We here are groomed to be managers, not followers. If you can extract all you can from PUMBA, you've a bright future ahead of you. If you're gonna sit and crib, well, thats all you'll be doing for your lifetime then.
FOR ASPIRANTS : If you're ready to work hard, be pro active and enjoy, PUMBA welcomes you with open arms.

With MAT score, you will be competing for 15% All India seats which has no further quota system.
Well, the placement season started in November and roughly 12-15% of the batch has been placed.
