Founded in 1981 by philanthropist Dr. A. Shanmugasundaram as the “Thirumuruga Kirupananda Variyar Thavathiru Sundara Swamigal (TKVTSS) Medical Educational and Charitable Trust,” the university gained its “deemed to be” status in 2001. Vinayaka Missions University Salem Paramedical Courses

The Allied Health Sciences department at Vinayaka Missions University Salem provides paramedical courses at two campuses, located in Salem and Puducherry. The B.Sc. program offers ten specialisations, along with B.Optom. Additionally, the Puducherry campus offers BASLP. Eligibility:

For undergraduate programs, the VMU Salem accepts applicants who have successfully completed their 12th examinations with a science background. For BASLP, applicants must have completed their 12th with PCMB.

Vinayaka Missions University Salem Medical Courses

Vinayaka Missions University Salem comprises three medical colleges that provide MBBS, MD, MS, and PG Diploma programs. MBBS Eligibility Criteria:

1. The candidate must have attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31st of the admission year.

2. The candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 percentile in the NEET-UG examination.

3. The candidate should have completed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), and must have passed English.

Eligibility for Postgraduate Courses:

Candidates must possess a recognised MBBS degree and should have obtained permanent registration as medical practitioners with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or any state medical council.

Vinayaka Missions University Salem Dentistry Courses

The VMU Salem operates a dental college, which provides Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) degrees. These colleges are accredited by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The college comprises eight departments and also offers two diploma courses.

Eligibility for BDS:

1. Candidates must have attained the age of 17 years on or before December 31st of the admission year.

2. Candidates must have passed the 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and must have passed in English.
