IISERs were created through a proclamation of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to promote quality education and research in science and related areas. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal was established in 2008 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
IISER Bhopal campus is spread across 200 acres of the space providing educational facilities in Natural Science, Engineering Science and Humanities & Social Science stream. The Institute offers BS-MS, Integrated PhD and PhD research program.
- IISER Bhopal was ranked 98 by the NIRF in the year 2017.
