Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) was established in 1971 in Pune. Being the official department for the MBA course at Pune University, it has been an image booster for PUMBA. Q. Are hostels available for PUMBA students?

Ans. The department does not have a separate hostel facility for the students. However, Pune University hostels have few seats reserved for PUMBA students. It is available to 20 male and 20 female students of PUMBA every year.

Q. What is the fee structure for the MBA program at PUMBA?

Ans. For the General Category, the fee is INR 65,000 per year for an MBA. For a whole year, the program costs down to INR 1,30,000.

Q. Why do I pursue MBA from PUMBA? What makes it different from others?

Ans. PUMBA follows a trimester pattern for MBA which consists of 6 trimesters over a span of 2 years. It is a unique course because of the autonomous status of the University Department. The course has been designed by experiential professionals keeping in mind the needs of the industry. Students joining the course at PUMBA will help them to change the industry dynamics. Additionally, the department offers an MBA in 4 specializations i.e. Marketing, Finance, Systems, Operations, and Human Resources.

Q. What are the cut-offs for the program for the last few years?

Ans. The cut off for the General category is typically around 97% in the entrance exam. For previous years' cut-offs, you can visit the DTE website for the last couple of years.

Q. Is MAT score accepted for admission in MBA?

Ans. As per the guidelines laid by the Maharashtra government, the score of MAH CET or CAT or CMAT will only be considered. Students who have appeared in one of these exams can take admission in the MBA program.

Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University offers 2 years full time MBA program, 2 year Evening Executive MBA program and a full-time 2 Year MBA (Pharma- Executive) program at postgraduate level.

PUMBA also offers BBA-HFM program at undergraduate level. BBA – HFM is a full-time program spanning over a duration of 3 years.

MBA admissions are granted on the basis of a valid score in CMAT/CAT/MAH-CET.
Seats in MBA Executive will be granted as per score in Entrance Test conducted by Pune University.
MBA (Pharma- Biotechnology) Admissions will be conducted on the basis of ATMA score.

Department of Management Science (PUMBA), Savitribai Phule Pune University successfully conducted its 2021 placement drive. The institute maintained its achievements in terms of placement offers, CTC packages & job roles offered during its placement drive. During the PUMBA placements 2021, a total of 168 students opted to participate in the placement drive. 81.54% of the students were placed with good CTC packages.
