Zensar has pursued the industry-academia collaboration model to attract fresh talent and to address existing skills shortage with its academic tie-ups with colleges under its Centre of Excellence (CoE) initiative. The collaboration with UoE will address the shortage of managerial skills and also help in developing an entrepreneurial workforce. The collaboration would involve joint research and collaborative teaching between Zensar and the UoE for business transformation and technology management.
The collaboration envisages three distinct areas:
Sponsored research on Global Delivery Platform as an entrepreneurial opportunity in Essex and Eastern Europe, to be done at the Southend campus of the University.
Co-teaching of the Post Graduate Program for Business Transformation that has been launched by the Zensar Centre for Business Innovation.
Joint development of entrepreneurial talent in UK through a centre at the campus of the School of Entrepreneurial Business powered by Zensar’s technologies.
ZCBI would collaborate with the University of Essex in creating the bridge between business and learning through its joint programme of collaborative research and teaching. ZCBI’s Pune Centre is an autonomous research and innovation centre for Zensar Technologies, focused at providing world class Research Development and Education of resources for its global customers. An Extension Centre would be created in the University of Essex using Zensar’s home grown Solution BluePrint (SBP). The Solution BluePrint is Zensar’s framework that enables software automation and creation of reusable components. The Solution BluePrint helps capture business process models, and to create reusable components that helped heighten the efficiency in software development. The SBP has ensured productivity efficiency for a number of Zensar’s customers.
Through this joint effort the ZCBI curriculum would be accredited by the UoE; the student would then spend nine months in Pune at the Zensar Campus and could opt to spend three months at University of Essex, creating a global experience for them and accelerating their learning to make them business ready.
Last year Zensar announced the launch of its innovation centre, the Zensar Centre for Business Innovation (ZCBI). ZCBI has launched a One Year Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Business Transformation that aims at creating a pool of skilled managerial resources by combining technology and architecture skills with business analysis concepts in chosen industries.
