What are the top 5 challenges that you solve at your job every day?
I Love my work, so there are no challenges as such for me. My work gives me opportunities and scope to grow with what others call ‘challenges’. Yes, one thing I definitely would mention here which is a bit of a challenge is to handle uninformed or unprepared students. When we talk about higher studies abroad, we expect our students to do a little homework & research on the university & course they are looking for. Which most of them do, barring a few exceptions, these exceptional cases are a challenging deal at times.
What according to you are the significant changes you would like to make in the structure of Management education in India or globally?
India needs to try designing more practical curriculum for studies. If students get some hands on experience on mock scenarios, they will perhaps find their internship & final job responsibilities a little easy. Quality education shapes a quality professional. Looking at the lack of skilled workforce at the moment, Indian education system should take it as a wakeup alarm. Having said that, the courses especially vocational training / courses being introduced in the Indian educational sector is indeed commendable & things will change for later hopefully soon.
How do you look at evolving your work in the coming years?
In the coming years I see many more students flying to Germany for Higher Studies and Frankfurt School being a leader in Finance & Management education, would have a greater role to play. We are constantly expanding our Alumni network across Asian region not just via our academic programs but also via our consulting projects, which is International Advisory Services. This platform gives us wider audience to showcase the expertise coming out of Germany and Frankfurt School. We would also be expanding our reach through other Asian countries in the near future.
What according to you have been your most significant achievements this year?
The number of students who went to Frankfurt from India is for sure a significant achievement for last year with 32% Asians representing in various Masters program at FS. Moreover, we have entered into a co-operation with Avanse financial Services Pvt Ltd to facilitate availing education loan for our students. We have also started a co-operation with BIMTECH for our Masters in Management program, which is anothernotable initiative. To top it up, our constant movement in the corporate world in India to offer our top class training programs to bankers or people from non-finance background, either in-house or all the way in Frankfurt.
