The XLRI School of Business and Human Resources, Jamshedpur declared its summer placements for the batch of 2010-12 complete with a total of 307 offers for a combined student strength of 240 students.
The placements were conducted using a slotted process and according to the institute, it was completed in 5 days. With 10 offers each, Goldman Sachs and Aditya Birla Group were the largest summer recruiters at XLRI this year.

The institute refused to provide separate summer placements data for the Business Management and PMIR batches. “We at XLRI as a policy don’t distinguish between BM and PMIR programmes and so we don’t release separate figures of BM/PMIR offers or any placement related details,” said a placements committee spokesperson.
The median stipend stands at Rs 42,500 per month. (The median includes the international stipend converted to Rupees. Further, seven companies have still not disclosed their stipends yet, so the institute has included last year’s stipend figures of these companies to calculate the median.)
