There have been many start-ups flourishing in the economy. Most of these that have turned to be successful have in fact been started by IITians themselves. And they have been flocking the IITs to recruit fresh talents for their company. Surprisingly there have many takers for the offers made by these start-ups rather than the multinational or established domestic companies.
Let’s take a look at the reasons behind this shift:
Exposure and experience
One of the biggest benefits of joining a start-up is that you
are handling multiple tasks and responsibilities. You handle several roles at a
time, and managing everything in a company provides great exposure and learning
experience.
Quick learning
By joining a start-up you learn to do everything in one day-
either consciously or unconsciously. An IITian is accustomed to hard work
and working at odd times, however there is one more thing which you might not
know about these nerds – their thirst for knowledge, it is this thirst that
will lead them to choose a start-up.
An energetic and youthful environment
A majority of the employees in any start-up are in their
mid-20s, making the environment energetic and exciting. Also, such companies
provide a healthy and competitive work environment, which allows the employees
to excel.
Scope and space for innovation
Since a start-up does not have a rich history to preserve, every
new idea is put to test for the benefit of the company. And as we know IITians
do things in a little odd way, thereby making the work culture interesting and
every idea creative and innovative.
Attractive salary package
Gone are the days when only an established could afford an
eye-popping salary package. These days even start-up offers not less than 10-20
lakhs per annum to an IITian.
