The West Bengal Public Service Commission has invited applications for the posts of Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Masters and Lecturers. The details of the vacancies are as follows:

Age limit:
For all posts: Candidates should be not more than 32 years old as on 01.01.2015
Essential Qualifications:
For Sub-Inspectors: i) Candidates must possess an Honours/ Masters degree with at least 50% marks and HSC with at least 55% marks from a recognized university or institute. ii) Candidates must also possess a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching/ Education from a recognized university or institute.
For Assistant Masters: Candidates must possess an Honours/ Masters degree in relevant subjects from a recognized university or institute. Some posts require additional qualifications.
For Lecturers:
i) For Foundation Course: Candidates must possess an M. Ed/ M. Ed (Elementary) or M. A. (Education) or diploma/ degree in Primary/ Secondary education from a recognized university or institute with at least 55% marks.
ii) For Methodology Course: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree with Honours at graduation level in relevant subjects and a diploma/ degree in education/ primary education from a recognized university or institute with at least 55% marks.
iii) Candidates must have good knowledge of Bengali (both spoken and written).
