The recruitment notification has been released by the West Bengal Police. This recruitment drive is for 668 posts of Sub-Inspectors in West Bengal Police. This will include 494 posts of Un-armed branch and 174 posts of a sub-inspector armed branch. The candidates applying for the post can apply on or before 9th September 2019.

Qualification:
The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized college or institute. Also, the candidates should come to write, read, and speak the Bengali Language.
Age limit:
The candidate should possess the age minimum of 20 years and maximum 27 years as on 1st January 2019.
Pay Scale:
The candidates will get the amount of Rs.7100/- to Rs.37600/-. And grade pay of Rs. 3900/-.
Application fee:
The candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs.20/- to Rs.270/- according to the categories. The application fee can be paid through online mode or e-challan.
Selection process:
The candidate’s selection will be done based on Preliminary exam, Main exam, Physical Efficiency/Criteria test, Medical Test, and Personality test.
How to apply:
The Board extends the facilities to apply for the exam through both online and offline mode.
The offline submission of the application should be done by downloading the application form from the official website www.policewb.gov.in. The candidates have to select the post he/she is willing to apply before downloading.
