The 180 first-year MBA students displayed their 12 projects in college on April, 15. The projects included blood donation camps for thalassemia patients, imparting education to the deprived, mobile libraries for the road-side schools, drive against faulty metering autos and taxis, training stray dogs to be security dogs and funding for celebrating birthdays with orphans, said the release.
The aim of the project is the scalability of the initiative and its sustainability. Like the students of the blood donation drive are trying to bridge a connect between colleges and blood banks to schedule drives at pre fixed dates and have a sustainable approach to the idea, stated the release.
The groups have showcased their work at www.projectssr.org and www.IndiaActs.org. Projects like drive against faulty metering has an online approach where people can post the registration number of the alleged taxi or auto and the students will follow it up with the RTO office every week, added the release.
The course aims to be carried forward in the next trimester of their MBA program. The school hopes to expand this initiative to more students and colleges in time.
