The online applications for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2020 has commenced from September 27, 2019.
The VITEEE is an entrance examination conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) to assess the eligibility of the candidates seeking admission into the Institute for undergraduate courses in Engineering.
Aspiring candidates can now apply for the entrance examination online through the official website of the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT): vit.ac.in.
The entrance examination is expected to be conducted by the VIT in the third week of April. No official notification about the examination date has been released by the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) as of now.
The last date for the submission of the VITEEE 2020 online applications is on February 29, 2020. The candidates will have the option to choose a preferred city for the examination centre and the time slot for the examination in March 2020.
Currently, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has its campuses across four cities in the country: Vellore, Andhra Pradesh, Chennai, and Bhopal. The candidates qualifying the entrance examination will acquire admission into any of the following campuses based on their performance and availability of seats in the respective campus.
VITEEE 2020: Changes in the examination pattern
The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has decided to make some changes in the examination pattern of VITEEE 2020. VITEEE 2020 is a computer-based test (CBT), and there will be a new aptitude section in the examination.
Previously the VITEEE examination comprised of questions related to only Mathematics/ Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English. Now candidates will have to prepare for the questions related to Aptitude as well. Candidates will be given a total of two and a half hours to attempt a total of 125 questions.
VITEEE 2020: How to apply
The online registrations for the VITEEE 2020 have commenced and interested candidates can submit the online applications until February 29, 2020.
The stepwise instructions to apply online have been mentioned below.
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT): vit.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, you’ll find a link ‘VITEEE 2020’ under the Bulletin Board, please click on it to proceed further.
Step 3: The link will be redirected to a new webpage, click on the ‘Apply Now’ link.
Step 4: Click on the ‘New User register here’ link to register on the website.
Step 5: Enter the required details and enter the verification code to register.
Step 6: Once registered, log in using the registered Email Id and password.
Step 7: Fill the online application form with the required information and click on ‘Submit’ to proceed further.
Step 8: Upload the scanned copies of the required images, the signature of the candidate and the required documents/ certificates.
Step 9: Make the payment for the application fee.
Step 10: Once the application fee is paid, a copy of the completed application form will be displayed on the screen, download and print for further use.
