Vinod Kambli, who retired from international cricket in the mid 90’s after crying on national television upon losing a match to a nearby island team, has announced his comeback.
“I was waiting for my close friend Sachin to retire from all possible forms of cricket so that i can fill the void left behind. I may not be God myself but God’s best friend seems to be the best deal for our fans. Besides, his family wanted to spend more time with him while my family, on the other hand, wishes to spend at least some time away from me” – Kambli explained his thoughts behind his action.
“Also, after years of practice in advising these great players and acutely looking for minor mistakes, I think I have a lot more mental stability to handle the heat in the big stage. Infact, Lately I have also noticed few hair making a comeback on my head” – Kambli added.
Pagal News asked everyone’s universally close friend Sachin about the announcement:
“I have no comments. Truth is, we were friends in school and you know how some school friends continue to believe that friendship is still alive while the other person doesn’t give a shit anymore” – Sachin aptly explained the situation. He also showed this picture validating his statement.
Right after his announcement, Nayan mongia and Ventakpathy Raju were seen hanging out with Kambli.
“We are proud of his boldness. He has opened a whole new world for us. To make odds meet, we were thinking of opening a restaurant or an academy but now, they sound so low profile for people of our age and caliber” – They both added in harmony like they are The Beatles.
Pagal News also tried to get some actual expert view on this but as we reached outside Navjot Singh Sidhu’s house, we heard noises of hindi proverbs spoken out loudly like “Lehron ke saath to Koi bhi beh leta hai…” & “Agar Dil Mein Ho Junoon & Aakhon mein Angaare..”.
We could not help but accept that as his support for Kambli’s announcement. We even felt that some of his own unrealized dreams saw a new ray of hope.
Finally, update from Kolkata is that Sourav Ganguly was seen taking off his shirt right outside his balcony implying that an old era could be coming back. Since the last time it was exposed in England, his chest hair seem to have followed Anil Kapoor’s direction.
