Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad, an AICTE approved institution, ranked among the top 21 B-schools of the country (by AIMA and Business Standard, 2013) is going full swing with its admissions to PGDM for year 2014.
VJIM as a seat of learning, with its huge campus set amidst the idyllic backdrop of greenery, has emerged as a name to reckon with academically. Having repositioned the frame of business education, the B-school has come a long way and has become one of the fore-players adopting the structure of global management curriculum. Dr. Kamal Ghosh Ray, Director, VJIM explains this repositioning model further- “We at VJIM have redefined business education as a perfect mix of ‘global width’ with ‘local depth’. We seek to achieve the ‘global width’ by adopting the international curriculum, pedagogy and best practices, which are applied in the local business settings. The ‘local depth’ is explored through developing ‘industry-specific skills’, while meeting the needs of Indian businesses for which, VJIM has repositioned business education.”
The state-of-the-art campus enables students with all the facilities to grow as ‘locally fit’ and ‘globally sensitive’ managers. With high inclination towards international pedagogy, native tradition and unique concepts like reverse orientation for second year students post their Summer Internships, adopting Socratic dialogue for teaching and learning, etc. VJIM is clearly making path-breaking innovations in the field of management studies.
VJIM strongly believes in diversity of student body. It takes pride in having students from all over the country, coming from various academic backgrounds. In the words of Mr. Raghu Mantha, Admissions in-charge, VJIM – “The VJIM classroom is a melting pot of culture and ideas. Continuing the tradition, VJIM stays focused in its 2014 intake as well, encouraging meritocracy by laying primary emphasis on the academic profiles of students. VJIM is also one of the institutes that look beyond entrance scores when selecting its students.”
