The candidates who were waiting for a notification on Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2019 by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) need not wait anymore. The Board is expected to release an official notification for the UPTET 2019 on its official website at http://upbasiceduboard.gov.in/ on any day in the first week of August. Aspirants who wish to apply will be able to do so once the official notification is released.
TET Examination Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) held in Uttar Pradesh is conducted by the UPBEB to recruit teachers for the primary and upper primary level in the state. The examination is organized every year in January at various exam-centres in Uttar Pradesh.
Basic eligibility criteria to apply for TETs:
- Aspirants must be at least 18 years of age and not more than 35 years old to apply for UPTET.
- Candidates must possess a B.Ed Degree in order to apply in the UPTET.
Exam Pattern of UPTET 2019:
The exam is divided into two parts for the recruitment of teachers in the primary and upper primary levels respectively. The first paper is held for the teachers who will be assigned the primary-level teaching duties, from the first grade to the fifth standard. The second paper will be for the recruitment of upper primary level teachers who will teach from the fifth standard to the eighth standard.

The validity of the Certificate:
The certificate of the candidates who qualified for the UPTET examinations is valid for a duration of five years. If the candidate fails to be selected in the recruitment of teachers arranged by the State Government within the span of these five years he will have to appear for the UPTET again.
