The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued the notification for the Combined Defense Services Examination (I) 2020. Qualified and interested candidates shall apply online for UPSC CDS 1 from 30 October 2019. The closing date for submitting UPSC CDS Online Application is available on 19 November 2019.
The exams shall be held on 02 February 2020 (Sunday). Chosen candidates shall get admission to the 150th course at Indian Military Academy Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala course, Air Force Academy (AFA) Hyderabad training course, 113th SSC Men NT in Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai, and 27th SSC Women NT in Officers Training Academy Chennai.
The ultimate selection will be made in order of merit subject to medical fitness and appropriateness in all other respects and the number of openings available.
The candidates are expected to apply online by using the website www.upsconline.nic.in.
Educational Qualification:
- JA, OTA courses-
The candidate should have graduation in any stream while for INA graduation in engineering is required.
- AFA-
The candidates should be a bachelor and studied physics and math’s in the 12th standard or possess B.E/B.Tech.
Important Dates:
- Starting Date of Application: 30 October 2019
- Closing Date of Online Application: 19 November 2019 till 06:00 PM
- The online Applications can be removed from – 26 November to 03 December 2019 till 6.00 PM.
- Examination Date: 02 February 2020
Selection Process:
The selection process includes-
- Firstly, through a Written Examination, the Candidates who successfully fill the application will be called for the written exam.
- The second part includes the Intelligence and Personality Test, those Candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the written examination will be called for the intelligence and personality test at the Service Selection Board.
The application fees shall be Rs. 200/- and there shall be no Fee for Female/SC/ST candidates.
