The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited has released the job notification for the post of Stenographer in the month of December in 2017.
The online registrations for the same commenced from December 14 to December 30, 2017. The official job notification was announced to fill a total of 2523 vacancies for the posts of Office Assistant and Stenographer.
The examination for the same was conducted successfully by the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited on August 28, 2018. The results for the recruitment examination were released on November 1, 2018.
Along with the results, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited has also released the merit list and the cut-off marks required to qualify the examination.
Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited had expected to fill a total of 2523 vacancies through the recruitment drive.

UPPCL Stenographer 2018: Exam Pattern
The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited Stenographer and Office Assistant examination 2018 was held for a total of 200 marks. The written examination was conducted in objective type.
The written test comprised of two papers with a weight of 50 marks for the first paper and 150 marks for the second paper. The examination had a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
The candidates that have qualified for the written test have been called upon for the next round of selection process, i.e., the typing and shorthand test.
UPPCL Stenographer 2018: Vacancies
Of the total 2523 vacancies, 227 (115 for the general category, 61 for the OBC category, 47 for the SC category and 04 for the ST category) vacancies for the post of Stenographer and the remaining 2296 (1150 for the general category, 619 for the OBC category, 482 for the SC category, and 45 for the ST category) vacancies were for the posts of Office Assistant. Both the vacancies were for the Grade III posts.
Candidates that have qualified their graduation in any stream from a recognized University in India with the required typing and shorthand speed were eligible for the recruitment process.
