Update: For reevaluation of Feb 2013 CMAT scores, petitioners urge complainants to send email to AICTE customer care

Online petitions seem to be the flavour of the year for candidates dissatisfied with their exam scores. This time round it’s the turn of the candidates who took the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) February 2013. Some of the candidates who took the CMAT on the February 23 morning slot and February 24 evening slot are not satisfied with the scores in the Quant and DI sections, post the declaration of the results. About 300 of them have signed an online petition demanding revaluation from the AICTE.

With Xavier’s Aptitude Test (XAT) 2013 and Tata Institute of Social Sciences National Entrance Test (TISS NET) already having witnessed such petitions, rather effectively in case of the former, CMAT takers are hoping their distress calls are heeded to by the AICTE.

See chart below for some reactions from the distressed petitioners in their words:

When apprised of this, SS Mantha, Chairman, AICTE said, “We have not received any representation from these candidates. Whatever procedures have been followed, are the same for everyone and I don’t see the need for review. In case something comes to us, we will review it.” So, if some error surfaces will these candidates be allowed to give the May CMAT as redressal? “The rules of May CMAT are very explicitly stated on the website. Those who have taken only one test i.e September 2012 or February 2013 CMAT will be allowed to appear for the May 2013 CMAT,” he concluded.

Update on March 19, 2013: The petitioners have now urged all the candidates who want to get their February 2013 CMAT scores reevaluated to send an email to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Customer Care at customercare@aicte-cmat.in along with your details and score card.
