Educational Testing Services (ETS), international organisers of the TOEFL test have started accepting registrations for the third round of their MOOC course. ETS began providing their online course to prepare for the TOEFL on the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) medium in June last year. Since then, the six-week course has been rolled out twice by ETS providing study material and practice questions and lectures by ETS experts like Faye Weidner, Cynthia Newman and Insook Chung.
The third round of the course is scheduled to start on January 25, 2017. The course is being hosted by Edx and has started accepting registrations from students. While it is a free course with verified material from ETS TOEFL experts, students are asked to pay $49 to acquire a certificate. Unlike the first two rounds, this round requires less time commitment as per the registration guidelines. The registration page suggests students to spend only 2-3 hours a week towards the course.
The benefit of taking this course is that the instructors and moderators who developed the test will review a handful of your responses and provide evaluation and feedback.
