Teacher Recruitment Board government of Tamilnadu has released the Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Notification 2019. Candidates can check TNTET Exam Date, eligibility criteria, and application fee from here. The link of online application will start from 15th March 2019. Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) certificate is necessary to become the teacher in Tamilnadu State. Complete Detail of TN TET 2019 notification is given below.

Tamilnadu TET Eligibility Criteria 2019
Persons having the following minimum qualifications shall be eligible for appearing in OTET.
TNTET Eligibility Criteria for (Paper- I)
1. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).Or
2. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.Or
3. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). Or
4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). Or
5. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).Or
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,).
TNTET Eligibility Criteria for (Paper- II)
1. Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).Or
2. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). Or
3. Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations. Or
4. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). Or
5. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed. Or
6. Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).Or
7. Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. programme, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET. Moreover, as per existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11.02.2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET.
