Tata Institute of Social Sciences, popular known as TISS, is one of the premiere educational institutions in India noted for its various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. It was established way back in 1936. Every year, lakhs of students aspire to pursue their education in Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
TISS conducts current examinations for the admissions into various master’s programmes. For admission into the course of MBA, TISS conducts the TISSNET or TISS National Entrance Test. Students who qualify in the TISSNET become eligible for admission into the MBA course offered by TISS. This exam is held every year with the huge number of students appearing for it.
The dates for TISSNET MBA 2020 are now out. TISSNET MBA 2020 will be conducted on 4th January 2020. The candidates will be able to start applying for the exam from the month of October 2019. The application process will continue until the month of December 2019.

In order to find out the exact dates of the applications, candidates must keep a check on the website of TISS. The applications for TISSNET are generally available in both online and offline mode for students in various cities across India.
Students who are applying for the TISSNET MBA exam must have a clear knowledge about the paper pattern of the exam. The exam is conducted in an online mode and is a computer-based test. There is a total of 3 sections in the question paper dedicated to three different subjects. Candidates thus have to prepare for the following subjects –
- General Knowledge (40 marks)
- Mathematics and Logical Reasoning (30 marks)
- English Proficiency (30 marks)
Thus, the TISSNET MBA question paper is of 100 marks in total. Candidates are allotted time of one hour and 40 minutes (100 minutes) to finish the paper.
Candidates will be finally selected for admission into the MBA course, after clearing three stages. The first stage in the TISSNET MBA entrance exam. This stage is followed by a Pre-interview Test after which students have to appear for a Personal Interview. Only shortlisted students from the entrance test can appear for the Pre-interview Test and its following stage.
According to a new change in the examination system, students appearing for TISSNET MBA 2020 will not be facing any negative marking in the examination. There are also no sectional time limits for the exam.
The TISSNET MBA exam scheduled to be held on 4th January 2020 will take place between 2:00 pm – 3:40 pm. It takes place in around 40 cities across India according to different regions which are as follows –
- Northern Region
- Eastern Region
- Western Region
- Southern Region
