Hello friends
I am Monika Sehrawat and I have been selected as a PO in
CANARA BANK in IBPS PO IV. I am sharing my success story here.
My story begins when I was in my third
year and got placed with BAIN Consultancy Company at a package of 8.5 lacs
per annum. I was very happy and was enjoying my life. But my father always wanted
me to go for a government job. Then I met one of my college seniors who is a very
good friend of mine and also working in corporate world. He told me how
hectic it is to work in corporate world and how he too is preparing for
government jobs.
Then I decided to prepare for government
jobs rather than make my career in corporate world.
So, I took admission in M.Com,
thinking of becoming a lecturer. Then, in my winter vacations I joined the internship
program at Syndicate Bank, which proved to be the turning point of my life. I
experienced how actual work is done in banks and I found it very interesting
and decided to go for bank jobs only.
After that I started
preparing for bank jobs. My first attempt was for SBI PO but I didn’t get selected. Then I gave RBI grade B exam but again the Mains didn’t work out
for me. But finally, I got selected in IBPS PO IV and was allotted Canara Bank.
I am feeling very happy as I have achieved my father’s dream and made my family proud.
