As promised, Prometric testing Agency, responsible for conducting the online CAT 2009 has introduced the ‘edit’ option in the CAT registration. Candidates now can edit all information in their registration page, except, as previously stated, the details of their name. This is a huge relief to many applicants who either forgot to enter certain important details during registration or, in their haste, entered the wrong information. The IIMs promised to introduce the option to edit information on the evening of September 18, 2009. However, it has been introduced early. Worries about CAT 2009 registration can now lay to rest.
It is simple to edit your details in the CAT IIM-Prometric registration:
After you login using your voucher number, you will see two new options, ‘Edit Profile’ and ‘Edit Application’ on the welcome page of online registration for CAT 2009.
‘Edit Profile’ lets you edit your contact information. Thus, you will receive a NEW admit card after you make changes here. The address, telephone number that you enter here is what will be used for further communication with you after CAT 2009 is over, so please enter carefully.
‘Edit Application’ lets you edit information that will be needed post the CAT 2009 (HSC, SSC marks, work experience and all of that). As this does NOT affect the details in the admit card, you will only receive an email stating the new information that you have entered. Cross check all details in the email with what you have entered in the registration form.

After you edit your profile and hit the ‘save’ button, this is the message that will appear on your computer screen. You will receive the new admit card within a few minutes of this message. This is where you will be able to edit all information regarding age, gender, educational qualifications and work experience. Please read all instructions carefully and fill in the required fields. However, there is no need to rush as you can always go back and edit your details.
