The T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal (TAPMI) ranked amongst the top-20 B-Schools in the country has decided to reduce intake in its flagship PGDM program from 420 seats to 300 seats. It is the first time that a school of this stature has debunked conventional trends of increasing intake and has decided to reduce intake.
Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director TAPMI, Manipal confirmed this decision and further highlighted the strategic intent behind this decision. The decision has been deliberated at the Senior Management and TAPMI Trust and the reduction in intake is in line with the new vision for the TAPMI PGDM program. The TAPMI PGDM program is being designed to focus on “Leadership through Value Creation”. The new design ensures development of Leadership Capabilities amongst the students through personalized focus involving the unique Young Leader Program, Global Exposure and Cross-functional Flexible Learning.
Prof. Aditya Jadhav, Chairman Admissions, TAPMI, informed that PGDM selection process is also being revised to focus more on self-assessment and achievement orientation. The process will involve Critical Incident approach to select suitable candidates. He has requested aspirants to regularly follow TAPMI for updates on the program redesign and the selection process.
