We all have dreams. I too had one, which I still remember. I wanted the summer to last forever. Summer meant holidays. And those were the times I was allowed to do whatever my mind wished. Wandering wherever I wanted, climbing up trees, throwing pebbles in the pond, and the best thing – feeling the soul of summer within me.
So whatever happened to that? Years passed by and summer holidays were spent in preparing for the next academic year. I slowly realised that as the years passed by, I was becoming someone else. The soul of summer, my soul, was missing.
Sitting in my cubicle, staring at the computer screen, my heart longs for those summer days. I wish those summer days lasted forever.
