State-wise merit lists will be prepared based on the NEET PG 2017 scores of the candidates, who need to apply individually to the state medical directorates. In a notification issued by the National Board of Examination (NBE), it is mentioned that the state quota seats and private medical college / university seats will be filled based on NEET PG scores.

As announced earlier by the NBE, 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be filled based on the merit list announced by the board on January 14, 2017. Candidates will have to contact the respective offices of the state government dealing with medical admission for their state quota seat merit list. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for counselling of the 50% All India Quota seats, for which the candidates must keep an eye on the official website. The schedule of online counselling for the post graduate medical / dental seats will begin soon as pointed out on the official website.
