The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) carries out the recruitment for several posts under the government of India. The recruitment is done through various exams and interviews. One such exam is the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL). The purpose of conducting the CGL exam is for the recruitment of eligible and capable candidates for different Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts under the multiple government departments and ministries.
The SSC CGL examination is conducted at various levels or stages. There are a total of four stages which is referred to as the 4 Tier examination system. SSC has announced some important dates for the SSC CGL recruitment drive for 2019. As per this notification, the following dates are extremely important and must be taken a note of by interested candidates –

This information brings out the point that the SSC CGL 2017 final results are yet to be released and so are the results for SSC CGL 2018 Tier-II. Here are some important updates about these exams.
The tentative dates for the SSC CGL 2017 final result, as announced on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission is 15th November 2019. The results for SSC CGL 2017 Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III exam was announced on 9th May 2019. The results for this exam have been postponed by nearly 2 years.
The given results were released on the official website of SSC along with a list of candidates who have been qualified for Document Verification or Skill Test. These procedures were conducted between 16th June and 31st July 2019 for 35,990 eligible candidates. According to an official statement by SSC, “The evaluation of the Skill Test for CGLE 2017 is currently under progress and is likely to be completed by November 2019.”
SSC CGL 2019 Recruitment
With regard to the SSC CGL 2018 Tier-II result, they are scheduled to be declared on 25th October 2019 on the official website of SSC, which is https://ssc.nic.in/ The SSC CGL Tier-II examinations were conducted on 11th to 14th September 2019 with more than 1.74 lakh candidates appearing for the exam. The dates have also been announced for the SSC CGL 2018 Tier-III exams. The exam has been scheduled on the 29th of December, 2019. This exam will be a written exam conducted in the offline mode. For SSC CGL 2018 Tier-III exam, candidates will be tested in the following areas –
- Language proficiency
- Knowledge of grammar
- Vocabulary usage
- Writing skills in Hindi
- Writing skills in English
