The JEE 2015 Seat Allocation process for the NITs (National Institute of Technology) is finally over and the NITs are scheduled to begin their academic year in the month of August. Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. It was converted into Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with the status of “Deemed University” on 4th December 2002.

SVNIT is situated on Athwa-Dumas Road, Surat. The campus is just opposite the Ichchhanath Temple, Piplod. The campus is spread over 250 hectares of lush green forest and is around 10 km from the Surat Railway station.

At the undergraduate level (B. E. / B. Tech.), this college offers 693 seats in 9 different branches. Selections to these seats are done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015.
