was formally inaugurated on 20 December 1991. The institute is an autonomous
body controlled by SLIET society, and fully funded by Ministry of Human
Resources & Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. The institute is set
up in 451 acres of land at Longowal, District Sangrur.The institute was
conferred the status of Deemed University in 2007 to run various UG and PG
courses under its own Academic patterns.

This institute at the undergraduate level (B. E. / B.
Tech.), offers seats in 8 different branches. Selections to these seats will
be done on the basis of a student’s All India Rank in the JEE Main 2015. The
