RRB (Railway Recruitment Board) Group D exams were conducted from September 17, 2018, to December 17, 2018. RRB Group D offers various Grade IV posts like Track manager/ Trackman, Helpers, Gateman, pointsman, etc. the competition level for RRB exams increases year by year. Lakhs of candidates appear for these exams and the qualified candidates are recruited by the Board. This year, there are a total of 62,907 vacancies for which the exams were conducted. The selection process for RRB Group D includes Written Examination, PET (Physical Endurance Test) and Document Verification Process.

The total time duration for RRB Group D exam was 90 minutes (120 minutes for PWD candidates). There were 4 sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 Marks), General Science (25 Marks), Mathematics (25 Marks) and General Awareness & Current Affairs (20 Marks). Each question has 1 mark and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer as negative marking.
The RRB Group D result for the year 2018 will be announced on the official website. Both the merit list and the scorecard will be released. The merit list for RRB Group D will contain the Roll Numbers of the candidates who have been qualified in the written exam and shortlisted for the next round. The scorecard for RRB Group D will contain the following details:
- Name of the candidate
- Registration number of the candidate
- Total score
- Pro-rata marks
- Normalized marks
- Selection status

Steps to check the RRB Group D results:
Certain details must be provided in the result page of the RRB in order to view the result status. Following are the steps to be followed by the candidates in order to view their result for RRB Group D exam 2018:
- Firstly, go to the Railway Recruitment Board official website
- RRB recruitment & result link will be present on the home page
- Click on the result for RRB Group D option
- A PDF file containing the result will get open
- If your roll number is present, then you will be allowed for further rounds in RRB Group D
- Download and take a print out of the result page for the upcoming process in RRB
The candidates who are able to clear the minimum cutoff marks fixed by the Board will be allowed for the next level. It is the minimum score that a candidate must secure. The cutoff marks will be released for the Group D exam will be released along with the result. The cutoff marks will be available on the official website of the RRB at the time of result. So the candidates must wait for few more days to view their result and the cutoff marks.
The answer key for the RRB exam will be available on the RRB official page and the candidates make use of it to guess their marks approximately. The candidates are also given the opportunity to raise their objection against the answer key if any answers are mentioned in the answer key wrongly.
After the result for RRB Group D, the selected candidates will be called for PET (Physical Endurance Test) where the candidates will be made to perform tasks as specified by the Board and the selected candidates will be allowed for Document Verification process. The tasks for PET will be separate for both Male and Female candidates. The candidates must provide certain documents for the verification purpose of the Board.
