The Ministry of Railways in the Government of India has established the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) for the various railway zones and stations in India. The RRB is a recruitment body that not only carries out the recruitment of candidates into various railway positions but also looks into the policy formulation for the recruitment procedure. The Railway Recruitment Board conducts examinations and interviews for carrying out the recruitment process.
The Railway Recruitment Board had announced a large number of vacancies for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technicians in the year 2018. There are a total of 64,371 vacancies for both the posts combined. The vacancy details for the posts are as follows –
- Assistant Loco Pilot : 27,795 vacancies
- Technicians : 36,576 vacancies
More than 25 lakh candidates had applied for these posts, and a long recruitment process is being conducted for the selection of the candidates.
After conducting several rounds of examinations, RRB has recently released the provisional result for the posts of ALP and Technicians. In order to check out these results, candidates simply have to visit the official website for RRB. The steps to check the result are as follows –
- Step-1 : Visit the official website of Railway Recruitment Board, which is http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/
- Step-2 : Click on the Results Tab on the home page.
- Step-3 : Click on the link pertaining to the release of the provisional results for RRB ALP and Technicians.
- Step-4 : The resulted will be downloaded automatically in the pdf format. Go through the results and save it.
- Step-5 : Take a printout of the result for future references.
The results will feature the name of the candidates along with their roll number so as to avoid any confusion. Candidates must check the results carefully.
RRB ALP Technician Provisional Results
The RRB had conducted the medical examination of the candidates between 23rd June to 14th September 2019 and again from 24th September to 26th September 2019. The document verification was also conducted on the same dates. For absentee candidates, the document verification was conducted between 24th and 26th September 2019.

Absentee candidates have been directed to write a letter to the Railway Recruitment Board clearly stating the reason for the absence. The letter has to be submitted by the candidates before 15th December 2019. The board will consider the candidature of the absentees only if they provide a satisfactory reason.
After the second Computer Based Test, candidates will have to appear for the document verification. The document verification will be the final round of selection. The RRB will make the final list of candidates based on their eligibility for the posts. The documents of the candidates will only be accepted in Hindi or English.
