So most of us are through with our entrances and heartiest congratulations to those who made the cut and for people like me who’ve basically screwed up all these entrances– It’s not the end of the road people.
I’ve come up with a few techniques that helped me ease my pain and may prove to be helpful to you as well.
1. Listen to music: Best and most effective of em all. Want inspiration?? I’ve got a few songs:
*Songs from the movie Lakshay– Laksh to har hal me paana hai.
*Bhag Milkha Bhag songs– they’re awesome.
*I get knocked down- Chumbawamba
*Somebody- Lemonade Mouth
*Someday- Flipsyde.
Listen to any song you want but please stay away from those depressing songs like- In the End or Simple Plan’s songs. They’re just going to make you feel worse. Believe me.
2. Meet up with your college buddies: This one really does not need an explanation. They are your buddies and they’re really going to help you overcome all your sadness.
3. Read: Novels people. Books are man’s best friends or maybe dog’s are!! Anyways, it is going to help you further your cause as they really help you in strengthen your VA section.
4. Travel: Go explore the world, visit all those places you wanted to but could not because you had to study for your entrances. I’m not asking you to turn yourself into Dora the Explorer- she’s weird. Get out of your humble abode or your stressful cubicle. Just go!!
5. EAT: If you’re a foodie like me, this is the best time for you to take up this interest of yours. You should really join a community like- Food Enthusiasts of Delhi (If you’re from some other city and don’t have such a group, maybe you should form one and indulge in your favorite cuisines). Go out with your foodie buddies and enjoy.
6. Tell your crush that you like them: You’re already depressed and have probably gotten used to rejection by now from these entrances exams. Take that plunge and tell them that you like them and maybe they’ll accept your proposition.
7. Book an appointment with Kapil Sharma.
Remember Rocky Balboa’s quote-
“The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”
