Mathematical Olympiads are annual school level mathematical problem solving contests, conducted by different organizations to identify, encourage, promote & nurture talent in mathematics at the state, regional, national & international levels. In India, the INMO is organized by the National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) since 1988.
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has been conducting its own Mathematical Olympiad Programmes in two phases, Junior Mathematics Olympiad (JMO) & Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO), for the last 17 years. After screening students in JMO, the top 60-70 students of each region are trained and tested in the RMO, usually held during October to December in 25 regions across India. The top 30 students from the RMO participate in the INMO conducted by NBHM
